Analysis Of The Performance About Mining Dump Truck

As the main transportation tool in large open pit mine, rapid demand of mining dump truck is increasing, which makes the mining dump truck has good mark prospects. At the same time, demands for its lager load mass, bad travel environment, bumpy road, makes the analysis of motion characteristics become a problem must be solved, such as braking, running. However, the performance index dump truck is no industry standard, test site is also not easy to implement. It is high technology and expensive. Use virtual technique and dynamics theory to design and analysis mining dump truck. During the design, we can improve the truck,save reduce the number of the tests a lot.Therefore, setting up a dynamics model of mining dump truck to study its characteristics has become an important method for later study of mining dump truck. This research started from the following:1. Heavy dump truck geometry model is established in Solidworks, preparing for kinematics and dynamics simulation analysis.2. Make a brief Introduction to ADAMS and adding constraints to the model of vehicle.3. Optimizing the design of front wheel alignment parameters to get the positioning parameters.4. Vehicle simulation model is established in ADAMS to evaluate the handing stability according to the national standard QC/T480-1999.The results shows that the vehicle has some under-steer characteristics which means the overall handling and stability meet the requirements.5. Stability simulation of soft road operated by MATLAB. Comparing with the simulation results, that shows the flexible pavement is more close to the actual condition. It's necessity to analysis dump truck in soft road.This paper established a 3D model of heavy mining truck. Typical handling stability simulation has operated in multi body dynamic software to get the braking performance and handling ability. The results can not only provide reference for design the car, but also provide ideas for the following study.
