Mine Dump Truck is a huge shape, a very high technological machinery products,used in open pit mine or large-scale civil site for the short distance transport. As a special purpose vehicle, because of the limitations of the use, Mine Dump Truck is needed less than the highway vehicle. Foreign Mine Dump Truck technology is relatively mature; the major manufacturers are Caterpillar, Komatsu-Dresser, Terex-Unit, Liebherr, Euclid-Hitachi, Volvo and Moxy, and so on.Mine dump truck development of the domestic mining began in the mid-1980s, major importing foreign technology for the production. The major manufacturers are the Beijing heavy truck factory, the north heavy vehicle factory, the Benxi Steel heavy vehicles factory and the Beijing shougang heavy truck factory, and so on. Since the 1990s, the domestic manufacturers have begun to develop independent intellectual property of the dump truck. The work conditions of dump truck are very bad, and the system of itself is very complex, so the structures of the truck are easily broken. It can't mean the need of the frame design using the usual methods, so it is very important to use the developed design methods for the frame design. Currently, the research on the dump truck frame is only using the finite element method for the strength and the modal of the frame, so it is limited. No one has used the Rigid and Flexibility method for the dump truck frame dynamic stress. Some dump truck factories are also using the usual methods for the frame design, so there must be many defects.This paper combine the projects "Numerical Simulation and Research of Static and Dynamic Stress on Mine Dump Truck Frame", with the dump truck frame to study, studied the strength , modal and the dynamic stress of the mine dump truck frame. With the finite element method and using the large-scale commercial finite element analysis software for the static strength and the modal of the dump truck frame; with the mechanical system simulation software ADAMS and ANSYS, studied the dynamic stress of the dump truck frame.Now the main content and research methods are described below:1. Systematic introduced the theories of the large-scale commercial finite element software ANSYS. Detailed introduced the calculating thinking and problem solving steps of the finite element method; systematic introduced the multi-body system dynamic of ADAMS. Detailed introduced the establishment of the Lagrange equation of the multi-body dynamic and the various ways to solve it, and analyses the flexibility bodies model methods and theories.2. Established the Mine Dump Truck Frame 3DModel with the 3D software UG, studied the model methods and the simplified principle. Meshed the frame and imposed the boundaries with the large-scale commercial finite element analysis software ANSYS, studied the meshing principles and imposing boundaries methods. Then analysis the static strength and free modal of the frame.3. Established the rigid modal of the dump truck with the mechanical system dynamic analysis software ADAMS and finished the flexible of frame with ANSYS, then generated the modal neutral .MNF paper. Finally established the rigid and flexible dynamic modal in ADAMS. Studied the modal methods of the parts from the dump truck and the generation methods and importing to ADAMS method of the neutral paper, then studied the join methods between the rigid bodies and the flexible bodies.4. Look up the literature, currently there are no papers studied the dynamic stress of the mine dump truck frame, this paper studied the dynamic stress with the multi-body mechanical system and the finite element. This paper mainly studied two stations of the dump truck, the triangular bumps incentive and the random excitation process, then studied the flexible frame stress time history.The study significance of this paper is as below:1. The significance of the static analysis of the frame: the usual design methods of the frame is empirical formulas of the material mechanic, elasticity mechanic and structural mechanic, greatly simplifying the model then analysis and design. This design method is blindness and unreasonable. Finite element analysis and design can not only make up the defects, with the computer applications ,this method can greatly reduce the manual physical strength.2. The significance of the dynamic stress numerical simulation: the method make it easy that when the dump truck is designing using the finite element and the multi-body system combine method to predict the dynamic stress of the frame, obtain the time process of the part's stress, it is the base of the product's fatigue life. Then this method can help reducing the circle of the product design, saving the cost , and increase market competitiveness. Meanwhile provided a theoretical basis for the dynamic optimization of the product design. The method can be applied to many research areas such as mining machinery, engineering machinery, Kinetic analysis of the construction machinery and strength.In summary, this paper studied the numerical simulation method of the dump truck frame strength, modal and dynamic stress, and introduced the model methods and the simulation methods of the parts in the process of modeling. The work of this paper can provide some basis to the frame design.
