As an efficient and environmentally friendly energy, solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) has broad application prospects. Seal technology is the key point in SOFC technology, and it restricts the commercialization process. In the thesis, Al2O3-Al seal preparation process was innovated, and a combined seal using seal paste and tape was recommended. On this basis, fiber-reinforced Al2O3 based seals were successfully prepared.The experiment got the seal paste which had the best fluidity by viscosity test. Al2O3-Al combined seal was tested in simulative SOFC working condition, and the result showed this combined seal presented better seal performance than tape alone. The resistivity of seal material was tested and it showed the seal can satisfy insulation requirement. Used combined seal in single cell test successfully, showed great reliability of combined seal application in SOFC.Tape casting technology was modified, fiber-reinforced Al2O3 based seals were prepared with 10~50wt% fiber content. Fiber-reinforced seals were tested under various input pressure, and the best leakage rate per pressure was 0.0025sccm·cm-1·psi-1 with 20 % fiber content through linear fitting. The leakage rate of 20 % fiber seal was tested during heating up at 1 psi input pressure, and after that 3000 min long-term working and 10 times thermal cycles were tested, the leakage rate stayed around 0.009~0.01 sccm·cm-1 all the time. Phase analysis and microstructure observation were done to study 20 % fiber seal's performance and mechanism. Tensile strength and high temperature deformability were tested, the results showed the mechanical properties of seal will promote with the fiber adding. Seal and adjacent components didn't react and contact tightness through compatibility test. Finally, the stack had good performance used seal with 20% fiber, it showed fiber-reinforced Al2O3 based seal satisfied the usage requirements in SOFC.
