Through a parallel control of many stations, the multi-station machining of complex machine tool can short the processing time significantly, and improve production efficiency; at the same time, using composite technology processing on a single machine, reduced the number of workpiece clamping, thereby reducing small positioning errors and improve processing accuracy of the workpiece.By analyzing the application form of complex processing, we have summarized the technical characteristics of complex processing and proposed the concept of control of the collection. Since there are several coordinate systems for multi-station complex processing, and each control set can be contro lled independently or in parallel, we proposed technical solutions of multi- channel control. Multi-channel CNC system control technology is one of the core functions of upscale CNC system, which provides a good technical support for the multi-station processing of complex machine tool.Hongmao drum wheel multi-station complex machine is an eight-station complex machine tools, the eight stations cooperate in order to complete complex machining process requirements. Through the analysis of the machine structure and typical components of composite processing technology programs, we completed the design of the control system of the machine tool. By configuring the stations and channels, an eight-station complex machine is divided into eight independent single-station machine which can be controlled in parallel. The synchronization control requirements between the various stations are completed by the design of PLC.The difficulties of multi-channel configuration have been solved by designing multi-channel- related configuration table.The difficulties of the G code design of multi-channel have been solved by the production of multi-channel parameters G code Function.We have verified the multi-channel control system by a three-way working plumbing parts and also compared the processing efficiency between multi-station machine tools and common machine tools. Experimental results show that the control system can achieve the desired complex processing task, and the the machine's processing efficiency is 15 times higher than the normal machine.
