The rapid development of industry brings huge fine particle emissions. It not only has an important effect on visibility and air quality, but also has great harm to human health.Bag filter is one of the most effective technologies for fine particle contral. As the core part of bag filter, filtration media plays a key role in the overall performance of bag filter. So the development of high performance fiber has an important practical value.Electrospinning is an important method for ultra-fine fibers and nanofibers preparation. And it is suitable for many kinds of polymer materials, which makes it a versatile nanotechnology. This research prepared micro fibers by electrospinning, and studied the effect of process parameters on the fibers. In order to lay a foundation for the production of all kinds of fine polymer fibers by melt-electrospinning in the actual application.This paper designed the melt-eletrospinning experimental platform, and studied the preparation of polyester fibers by melt-eletrospinning with it. By changing the experimental parameters, we systematically studied the effect of temperature, electric field intensity, and receiving distance on the results of melt-electrospinning fibers.The results show that the optimum spinning temperature is 290?, melt-electrospinning fibers diameter decreases with the increase of electric field intensity and the receiving distance. Through repeated experiments, fibers with little disparity on diameter and mean diameter is about 70 ?m was successfully prepared. And at the same time, we also prepared the melt-electrospinning polyester fibers with larger disparity on diameter but mean diameter is about 10?20?m.This paper also compared the similarities and differences between melt-electrospinning performance of polyester resin particles and polyester filtration media, and it can lay a foundation for the subsequent research of the recycling filtration medias'melt-electrospinning. In addition, the prepared fibers was also applicated on the filtration material, and then its filtration performance was tested. The experimental results proves that the melt-electrospinning fibers increased the filtration efficiency significantly, and it confirms the feasibility of the melt-electrospinning fibers'application in air purification materials.
