In the paper, an electro-hydraulic control system was designed for remote control drilling rig based on controller and CAN-Bus technology. On the summary of the technical characteristics of control modes based on existing coal mine tunnel drilling rigs, aiming at the controller system with the problems of low integration and automation. The system uses sensors and data acquisition technology, were used to monitor drilling process in real time. Pipe handling of unscrewing and screwing was realized automatically by the way of using data transmission and processing based on the CAN-Bus.The main achievements are as follows:According to the control requirements, the hydraulic control system and electrical control system in electro-hydraulic control system was designed in detailed. The electro-hydraulic control system consists of remote-controlled panel, monitor and main console, which are connected by CAN -Bus among them.In the electro-hydraulic control system, the hardware and software were designed and analyzed according to the actual drilling needs. STM32F103 was used as the core for hardware, which was composed of STM32 controller, input and output module, CAN communication circuit, power supply, sensors. Under the rule of COAL Mine Safety Certification, power and circuits with the function of explosion-proof were developed. The software consists of upper PC software and the lower software. The upper software was designed in the LabView2012 environment, which is using G language. The lower software was developed in MDK4.12 environment, which was realized modularly from top to down, and was easy for the procedure transplantation and maintaining.Through the simulating test did in laboratory, the changes of each parameter were analyzed when the electro-hydraulic control system was working. The test results showed that all the parameters monitored and the controlling functions worked, monitoring and control were realized with high reliability and strong anti-interference ability.The electro-hydraulic control system of remote control rig for coal mine is not only convenient for operators to determine the drilling condition and take corresponding measures accurately, but also help to reduce the labor intensity of operators, reduces the operation time and increases the drilling efficiency. The research on control system has an important significance in realizing the automation and intelligence for tunnel drilling rig in coal mine.
