An increasing number of accidents show the reason why electro-mechanical products incidents occurred is not only because of products' own subsystem or component risk of the possibility and serious consequences, but also of the interaction between subsystems and components. This correlation, which is under fault or accidents conditions, is studied in this paper.The concept of electro-mechanical product safety correlation, positive safety correlation and negative safety correlation are proposed based on the perspective of system correlation and safety in this paper. Interpretive Structural Modeling Method(ISM) and FMECA are used to analyze the fault accident type of subsystems and components for electro-mechanical product,the result of possibility that affectd subsystem lead to accidents calculated by the Mar kov state transition equation is used to determine the safety correlation. Based on the facts,the value of the safety correlation and the meaning of safety correlation coefficient are analyzed, then the essential relationship and the role of safety evaluation between safety correlation and electro-mechanical product safety correlation are obtained. Combined with the existing safety evaluation model and influencing factors into consideration, the safety evaluation model of electro-mechanical products about the safety correlation is established.Finally, the product safety correlation assessment model is applied into the elevator system, and the assessment result is analyzed in this thesis.
