The measurement system of tool geometry parameters is considerable importance equip-ment for tool manufacturing and grinding equipment. The DJCLY12A tool geometric param-eters measurement system newly developed by Changzhou Jerry Tool Technology Co., LTD. appeared a series of problems, so this paper analyses calibration and error analysis, taking the corresponding software compensation.According to the measurement system, first of all, the calibration is first. Length calibra-tion uses gauge block and the error can be controlled in 10 μm at all; The grid calibration for suppressing the angle calibration and angle error can be controlled in within ±0.3°. This paper discusses the causes of measurement errors from the hardware (clamp knife device error, abbe principle error, rail straightness error), software (line width error), optical amplification system and human measuring factors. It calculates error influence and compensates error to improve the measurement accuracy of the whole system through the experimental research. So the accuracy is ±6μm (20℃,100 mm)、+8μm (20℃,50 mm、±0.2°(20℃,45°). This system has several advantages containing non-contact measurement, the advantages of high precision a good lication prospect in the tool measuring field, compared with traditional measurement.
