The linear rolling guides is one of commonly used part of feed system of CNC machine tools, the performance of the feed system or even the whole machine tool is largely influenced by static and dynamic characteristics of linear rolling guides; so the study of the method of the establishment of models of linear rolling guides and parameteristic extensible characteristics has an important theoretical significance and practical application value.This paper regarded linear rolling guides as the study object, established the models of theoritical prediction and finite element analysis, and the analysis software special for linear rolling guides has been developed, which integrated the rapidity of theory prediction model and the accuracy of finite element model, and connected the software to a database management software to manage analysis prameters of linear rolling guides.(1)Based on the reference to the domestic and foreign literature, research status of the static and dynamic characteristics of linear rolling guides was reviewed and key problems of the paper was determined.(2)The normal static predictive model was derived based on Hertz contact model; the kinetic predictive model was derived based on Lagrange equation; relationship between predctive normal stiffness and the frequencies of first five order constraint modals and influential factors were got based on predictive models.(3)Parametric FEA modeling of linear rolling guides was conducted, static analysis, modal analysis and harmonic response analysis were completed by FEA.(4)The special software was developed which integrated the rapidity of predictive model and the accuracy of FEA model and the function of database management.The predictive module was designed based on the combination Visual Basic with Matlab; the finite element module was designed based on the combination of Visual Basic with the APDL of ANSYS; the database management module of linear rolling guides was designed based on the combination of Visual Basic and Access, the software integrated the three module, realizing the running in the background of Matlab,Ansys and Access, users could finish static analysis, free and constraint modal analysis and harmonic response analysis, storing and reading results,deletion and other managements by operating easily on the interface.(5)The static and modal experiments on the linear rolling guide were designed and conducted.And the experimental results verified the accuracy of the finite element analysis and predictive model.Accurate theoretical predictive normal static and dynamic model and FEA model were constructed in this paper, the relationship between the performance of linear rolling guides and parameters were got; the special software were developed which integrated the rapidity of predictive model and the accuracy of FEA model and the function of database management, improved the efficiency and simplicity of linear rolling guide.
