Linear rolling guides and ball screws’static stiffness testing benches are introduced in this paper. The original test platform is updated. The test error has been analyzed and corresponding compensation method is given. After optimizing the test method and equipment, a large number of tests are carried out on the existing linear rolling guides and ball screws, the test data are given and analyzed. Finally the test method for static dynamic load rating of rolling components are introduced.The static stiffness test-beds for rolling components are introduced form four aspects, basic principle, test plan, mechanical structure and control system.Based on the existing test bed for guides, the effect of sensor calibration on the test results are discussed, the deformation of the test tooling and the distribution of the loading force are analyzed, the influence of the loading speed and sampling interval are studied. As to the screws test bed, the influence of the layout and the quantity of the deformation sensors on the test results were analyzed, the rotation of the screw and installation clearance and the abbe error are researched.A large number of tests on guides have been carried out, the test data are given out and detailed discussed. The influencing factors on the stiffness such as preload, size, type and quantity of the rolling element and processing technic are discussed respectively. As to screws, the influencing factors on stiffness such as style and number of turns of circulation system, preload and processing technic are also researched.The new test method for static dynamic load rating of rolling components are put forward. An example of overloaded guide is given and the shape of the pit which is formed due to overload are analyzed.
