In the background of the 3# blast furnace building, this paper designs a blast furnace automation system after learning the latest technology and equipment information and considering the existing problems of it. According to the requirements and iron-smelting production process of 3# process control of blast furnace of Qiangang, this paper designs industrial Ethernet ring structure and process monitoring scheme. In this scheme, industrial Ethernet is used among PLC and between PLC and IPC. The PLC of the important system applies redundant design to achieve CPU hot spare. Production process control uses three-control mode of the operation, process and management.This paper introduces the electric and apparatus automatic control system of iron production process in 3# blast furnace, including the PLC hardware configuration, control network and communication protocol, especially delivered the realization methods of PLC program for subsystems. The whole automatic control system is composed of PLC controller stations, INTOUCH SCADA system and industry Ethernet. All subsystem PLC form a distributed control system (DCS) connected by Industry Ethernet. According to the technical requirements, the computer control system adopts Schneider 140 PLC and Hewlett-Packard IPC. It mainly completes the works of data collection and storage, control of the combustion and stove-switched of the hot blast stove, control of the furnace top feeding, control of the milling and coal injection, and the equipment control of tapping. The monitoring soft is designed by INTOUCH, which realizes the functions of real time monitoring of process data, storage of historic data, alarm of abnormal signals, guidance of operation and the control of production process.This paper also solves the entire monitoring problems of the blast furnace process, which uses the industrial Ethernet as a platform to achieve integrated management and control. With the industrial Ethernet platform, the blast furnace of the main auxiliary systems and external systems are integrated into a public network. It finally realizes the complete monitoring of the real-time data exchange and storage and the information sharing of the blast furnace system.Since the operation of the system, it improves the enterprises' production capacity and product quality and decreases the production cost and the labor intensity of workers with the performance of safe and reliable operation, simple maintenance and good control effect.
