With the increasing of the electricity load and high-power equipments of the East Face of Xinzhi Coal mining area, the voltage of the coal mines gets lower which can't meet the requirements. Even affects the normal operation of equipments, resulting difficulty in starting equipments. Sometimes the equipment in the operation will be tripped due to the under voltage, which seriously threatens the safety of coal mine. Therefore, how to guarantee the supply voltage of the East Face in the qualified range is the problem we need to solve.In this paper, the reactive power compensation optimization scheme for the voltage stability is studied based on the situation of the operation of the Xinzhi mine. A boost system is established to solve the problem of the low voltage caused by the load and the distance. Based on this, designing the regulator reactive power compensation system of computer intelligent control automatic voltage. By adjusting the OLTC position and the amount of switching capacitor banks, the output voltage of the main transformer is qualified and the effect of the active power loss is effectively reduced.The control system of the automatic voltage regulation and reactive power compensation system adopts the control strategy of the nine zone method,, and the operation state of each region is designed, and the method of determining the upper and lower limit value is improved. According to the load curve of the old ditch substation of the Xinzhi coal mine, it can be divided into 24 periods. The optimal curve of voltage and reactive power is obtained by using the firefly algorithm. Consideration of the effect of the inverse pressure, the upper and lower limit values of voltage and reactive power are determined, and as the limit value of nine district method. This is not only effectively reducing the number of operations of transformer contacting and capacitor groups, but also improving the safety, economic, stable and reliable operation of compensation system.In the optimization of the reactive power optimization model of the East Face of the coal mine, a new intelligent optimization algorithm for the firefly algorithm (FA) is proposed. By analyzing the firefly algorithm (FA) of bionics mechanism and optimization of operating procedures, known Firefly algorithm (FA) has powerful local search performance, and simple to operate, easy to implement. It is an effective way to solve the reactive power compensation optimization method.The hardware design of automatic voltage reactive power compensation control system is based on the Mitsubishi PLC control. The signal of the analog and digital acquisition and processing module is pre processed, and input PLC. According to the given control strategy and PLC field control procedures, realize the control of the entire automatic voltage regulator reactive power compensation. Meanwhile, the paper uses Configuration software and designs PC configuration man-machine interface and realizing real-time remote monitoring of each operation of the equipment and historical data query as well as the dispatch center networked communication function.
