Metal–Organic Frameworks(MOFs), as a new class of organic-inorganic hybrid materials, have been applied to interdisciplinary area because of their interesting structures and properties. In this dissertation, twelve organic ligands with N heterocyclic group were synthesized. What's more, the self-assembly chemistry based on these ligands with transition metal ions was investigated and totally 22 new MOFs have been designed and synthesized. They were characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction,IR and TGA. Moreover, the host-guest properties, catalytic properties of several compounds were investigated.I. Eleven porous Co(II)-MOFs with different sized channels were synthesized based on a mixed-ligand system of(2,5-di(1H-1,2,4-triazol)pyridine)(L1) and 7dicarboxylate type co-ligands and Co(CH3COO)2·4H2O under solvothermal conditions, respectively. The result shows that the solvent templates and dicarboxylate co-ligand have a direct impact on the structure of the formed compounds.II. Four porous Co(II)-MOFs with different open rhombic channels were selected to examine the catalytic activity for the silylcyanation of aromatic aldehydes and the Knoevenagel condensation reaction. The result shows that Co(II)-MOF with-NO2 group can be a highly active heterogeneous catalyst to promote the silylcyanation of aromatic aldehydes, and it can be easily recycled and reused five times. At the same time, it can also be a highly active heterogeneous catalyst to promote the Knoevenagel condensation reaction and it can be easily recycled and reused five times at least.III. Six ligands capped by pyridyl group were synthesized and seven coordination compounds based on them with Cu(I)?Zn(II)?Cd(II)?Cu(II) salts were obtained.IV. Five pyridyl bridged ligands capped by imidazole type groups and pyrimidyl group were synthesized and their luminescent properties were also discussed.Four M(II)-coordination polymers(M=Zn, Cd, Co) based on L10 were obtained. The result shows the carboxylate co-ligand have a direct impact on the structure of the formed compounds. The study demonstrated that the MOFs with uncoordinated N or O heteroatoms would be excellently heterogeneous catalyst to promote organic reactions. It is important for the realization of MOFs' applications in catalytic field.
