As the national economy growing,China’s demand for energy is also increasing,due to the international energy structure adjustment,which lead to rising global demand for LNG,so the chain of LNG project development can increase the proportion of LNG in the energy structure,and optimize energy structure has a significant meaning,it can effectively solve the problem of energy supply and ecological environmental protection,it is the important action of the rapid economic development and social sustainable development.LNG as a special gas storage condition,its generally stored in the storage tank,so LNG storage tanks with a low temperature resistance,high security,good insulation property,extent and complex construction technology and other special requirements,which make the design and construction of the tank is a series of problems,especially the tank structure design calculation and welding construction.Firstly,This paper analyze the LNG storage tank project current situation in the domestic and overseas and the problem in the operation of the storage tank,according to the characteristics of the LNG classifying the LNG storage tanks,and make a detailed research about the structure of LNG storage tank based on the characteristics of the tank itself,The main point about the structure and system of the tank.Secondly,the mathematical calculation about internal and external tank are proceed to conform the specifications of the tank structure design,and make it accord with the standard requirements,at the same time,the cold storage tank system and the rate of evaporation and protection system are designed to ensure the safety of the tank.Lastly,the study of the construction technology of storage tank and the analysis of the principle of storage tank construction in detail,it analyzes the tank welding construction process and the storage inner tank and condole top welding method to present the process of welding construction,and summarizes the relevant welding inspection method,and require to establish the welding repair process,to ensure the reliability of construction and improve the overall performance storage tank.
