Rapid tooling technology is a production of the development of both rapid prototyping and traditional molding technology.The rapid tooling of epoxy resin has the advantages of short development cycle and low cost,which has wide application.However,the domestic mould is still lag behind the international advanced lever.So this paper performed a research on the epoxy resin mould technology based on rapid prototyping.The rapid tooling process is optimized systematically from two aspects of theoretical analysis and experimental verification in this paper.Firstly,the formula is reasonable by the material mechanics experiment.Secondly,the key technology of the tooling process is analyzed.In order to get the best ejection angle,the stripping mechanism is analyzed and the experiment is done.The friction coefficient is effectively reduced by polishing the prototype surface,so the prototype is easier to separate from the epoxy resin mould.Through the analysis of the stripping principle,a type of the release agent is choiced.The double temperature curing process is concluded,which achieves the internal and external equilibrium solidification.Including the pouring systerm,ejection system and prototype,the integration of theory is proposeded,which reduces the post processing time.The pouring system of two cavity mould is designed by using moldflow.According to the analysis results,the injection moulding parameters such as injection time,injection pressure and clamping force are obtained,which guides the experiment of injection moulding.Finally,the epoxy resin rapid mould of typical component is manufactured according to the research.Based on the above research,the epoxy resin rapid molding process is optimized.Mould test experiment is carried on and the result showes that 130 products is injected.The result has certain reference value to the mould factory.The close loop control method is concluded through the analysis of products which effectively control the size precision of the products.
