Moulds play a great important role in industry. The development of Mouldmore and more influences industrial advance. . With WTO ,it is no hesitate todevelop mould industry .Reserve engineering and Rapid prototyping become rapidTooling true . Rapid Tooling is an advanced technology that integrates ComputerAided Design(CAD)Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM)Computer NumericalControl (CNC)exact servo, laser technology and material science.The thesis introduces theory and methods of Rapid Prototyping which slices thegeometry model built by CAD system, gets the outline of each layer. Based onthese layers, it uses growth shaping method, like SLA, LOM, SLS or FDM tomanufacture the product.At present, the research on the application of RT has been got some Progressin China. But compared to developed countries, there are lots of problems waitingus to solve. On the basic of building of tread model, the common process ofmodeling is discussed,so does the method of modeling,the selection of software,etc. On the basic of manufacture process of silicon gel mould of game handstickSilicon gel mold is told in this thesis. Discuss the advantage of silica gel mould andthe foreground of its application in keepsake toy manufacturing. In the same time,introduces influential factors of silicon gel mould . Based on the process of buildingthe CAD space model of the Reserve engineering ,shearing wool stick iron mouldand exporting it to rapid prototyping machine, EDM major method of in RT isdiscussed. On the basic of the realism that rapid prototyping technology could notfollow the request of volume-produce,hard mould making by integrating EDM andRT is also discussed.With the advantage of Rapid Tooling, RT would be used in automobile...
