Salt is a necessity of human life, also is the basic raw material of chemical industry. As an important way of salt production, the process of solar sea salt production can be divided into sea water intake, evaporation, salt harvesting, salt piling, transportation, etc, in which evaporation is also the process of brine concentrating. It uses solar energy to evaporate and concentrate sea water gradually,separate sodium chloride, which is a key process in sola sea salt production. The feature of solar sea salt production is outdoor production, long cycle, strong continuity,extensive production, difficult to control, so the brine concentrating capacity of salt pond, as well as the production and quality of sea salt, is greatly influenced by evaporation, rainfall, wind, relative humidity of air. How to improve brine concentration capacity and increase saturated brine production through reasonable design, adjusting the structure of salt pond and optimizing production process has always been the key problem faced by the enterprises of solar sea salt production.This paper introduces and analyzes the existing sea salt production process, brine concentrating optimization and calculation of salt pond process respectively, and selects “The Calculation Table of Brine Concentration Capacity” as the calculation tools of salt pond process. Then, taking Tanggu salt works for example, this paper analyzes the current three main problems existing in brine concentration process in sea salt production: “decline of brine concentrating capacity due to evaporation decrease”, “more difficult in brine concentrating caused by abnormal precipitation increasing” and “shrink of salt pond area year by year”, and in combination with actual production situation, adjusts the parameters in “The Calculation Table of Brine Concentration Capacity”, add “rate of fresh water drainage” parameter, by comparison and calculation, analyzes the influence of these six factors to brine concentration capacity: “evaporation”, “precipitation”, “initial concentration of brine”,“rate of fresh water drainage”, “area of brine concentrating” and “residence time of brine”, determines optimization directions of brine concentration process: “increasinginitial concentration of brine”, “enhancing rain resistance ability of brine” and“adjusting evaporation-crystallizing area ratio of salt pond”, and makes specific optimization scheme, combined with the theoretical calculation and production practice, proves the validity of the three optimization scheme respectively as follows:1. Implements the transformation of salt pond and process adjustment,utilization of brine well and salt piling field to promote brine concentrating capacity.Through theoretical calculation and practical measurement, brine concentration can be improved about 0.5 ° Be '.2. Designs the scheme of increasing plastic film covering for brine concentrating area to improve the rain resistance ability of brine, merges and transforms the adjusting pond, adjusts brine concentrating process accordingly, which makes the new modified plastic covering adjusting pond have three advantages in the brine protection,depth, and capacity, and effectively enhances the brine concentrating capability.3. Designs the scheme for adjusting evaporation-crystallizing area ratio,transforms the crystallization pond to brine concentrating pond. Through balance calculation of brine concentrating and crystallization capacity, it determines the appropriate number of crystallization pond to be transformed to achieve the best effect of salt production.The content of this research topic has not been published in literature.
