Diffusive Gradients in Thin-Films technique(DGT) is a novel water passives ampling technique. It has been used extensively to determine and measure vari ous pollutions in waters widely. Compared with traditional sampling technique DGT technique could measure average concentration in water body bio-availabil ity, and provide time-integrated average data during a period of time.At present, the aquatic environment pollution problem in our country is beco ming more and more diversified, especially for contaminants such as antibiotics and illicit drugs. The antibiotics pollution were caused by widely agricultural,aquatic products, medicines fields; And illegal drugs on the water environment pollution is mainly derived from human drug excretion and laboratory waste emissions.In this paper, we creatively established the DGT technical method system in testing three kinds of illegal drugs(methamphetamine, benzedrine, ketamine).De termine the DGT device for the detection of three kinds of illicit drugs: adsorp tion gel is XAD membrane, elution reagent is the methanol reagent, diffusion gel is polyacrylamide membrane, the filter membrane is poly(PES) membrane,the shell is ABS material. Obtained three kinds of illegal drugs' s Mininum D etection Limits and diffusive coefficients under the conditions of T=25?, t=24h, 0.8mm diffusion gels: MET(0.015ng/L), AMP(0.015ng/L),KET(0.012ng/L);D(ME T)==8.29*10-6 cm2·s-1, D(AMP)=7.21*10-6 cm2·s-1; D(KET)=7.75*10-6 cm2·s-1. An d by comparing the DGT method with the traditional SPE method, it is prove d that the DGT method is reliable for the detection of illegal drugs.The DGT technology was applied to the determination of illicit drugs in the wastewater treatment plant(A and B) and downstream of plant A in this stud y. MET concentration was lower than the detection limit in the effluent of was tewater treatment plant A,MET concentration in the wastewater treatment plant B was reduced by 85.3%; AMP concentration and KET concentration in the effluent were both higher than the influent of wastewater treatment plant A and B.Ilicit drugs could be detected in downstream river of wastewater treatment pl ant A, the concentrations of MET was 108ng/L, compared to the concentratilo wer than detection limit in the efluent of sewage treatment plant A, increased a lot; the concentrations of AMP was 45ng/L, compared to the concentration 120.3ng/L in the effluent of the sewage treatment plant A, decreased by 60%; t he concentrations of KET was 6.8ng/L, compared to the concentration15.9ng/L in the effluent of sewage treatment plant A, decreased by 57.6%.In this paper, we applying DGT technology in sewage treatment plants and i ts downstream rivers. Results showed that, after treatment process in sewage tr eatment plant, the concentration of TCs antibiotics reduced about 76%; the con centration of SAs antibiotics decreased more than 50% except TMP; the conc entration of FQs antibiotics decreased more than 45%; the concentration of MC s antibiotic did not decrease but increased in plant A, only decreased 17.7%-28.6% in plant B.The concentration of most antibiotics in downstream rivers of wastewater tre atment plant A and B were in lower than 183ng/L,only individual antibiotics in high concentration. The concentration of some TCs antibiotics were lower tha n the detection limit; SAs antibiotics concentration were lower than 40ng/L, e xcept for SMX and TMP, in some sampling site their concentrations reached 328ng/L and 264ng/L, some of the SAs antibiotics were lower than the detectio n limit. Compared to the concentration of efluent in sewage treatment plants, t he concentration of SMX have decreased 67.6%, and TMP decreased 93%; the concentration of FQs and MCs antibiotics in the river were detected more ofte n, ranged from 0.955ng/L to 992.2ng/L, compared to concentration of the efflu ent in sewage treatment plant, decreased about 30%-55%.In this study, we selecting the DGT technique as the sampling technique, totesting the concentration of illegal drugs and antibiotics in each process in se wage treatment plants and their downstream rivers. To explore the new method of pretreatment technology in environmental monitoring, and to find an effecti ve way to detect the new pollutants in the environment, and to provide technic al support for the removal and monitoring of pollutants in the environment.The research results will provide theoretical basis and technical support in applying DGT technique into the removal of illegal drugs and antibiotics in sewage tre atment plant research,and know more about the the impact brought to downstre am rivers at the same time.
