Infiltration agent is always the core part production of glass fiber industry. And starch type infiltration agent type is widely used in textile infiltration agent. By using resin as modification of starch we got reinforced starch film formers which has the function of textile. By using a series of test equipments such as the scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray diffraction(XRD), Fourier transform infrared(IR), and viscosity meter, we studied the modification mechanism of the modified and mechanical properties of the modified starch film-former. As far as, we studied its application on the composite materials.By using the infrared analysis, thermal analysis and X-ray diffraction analysis on the sample,we determined the modification mechanism. At the same time, we got the optimum reaction process through the single factor analysis and orthogonal analysis method. We found that the stability and the tensile property of the sample were improved. We solved the textile type infiltration agent used to enhance the need for the problem of complex techniques such as fever and studied its application on the composite materials. The stability of the modified starch film former was several dozen times than the normal starch. The mechanical strength of the sample can reach 30 cn. The intensity of the sample was comparable to the etherification modified starch. The tensile strength, impact toughness, flexural strength and bending modulus of the composite materials which produced by modified starch film formers were increased by 4.2%, 5.3%, 10.3% and 5.3% respectively than the pure resin composite materials.
