Lightning is a natural phenomenon in nature, its colorful let us indulge, but its great destructive ability also let us fear. Lightning discharge time is very short, just a moment, but its energy cancause great disaster to people, animals and social facilities. With the development of modern industrial civilization and the progress of science and technology, more and more new lightning protection methods have been developed and applied, lightning has become a disaster that can be prevented, as long as according to the different characteristics of lightning and its stricken object, taking the corresponding lightning protection measures, the lightning accident can be avoided completely.The basic method of lightning protection design is to find the corresponding preventive measures according to the characteristics of lightning and its stricken object, so as to avoid the occurrence of lightning accidents, to protect the personal safety, to avoid economic losses.Distribution and transmission of electric power enterprises has always been an important part of China's economic development. It is not only the power source of national modernization, but also closely related to people's daily life. Therefore, the safe and stable operation of power systemdistribution network is particularly important. According to incomplete statistics, in the power system, there are many accidents in the distribution network for the transmission line, followed by the substation equipment and electrical equipment. This requires us to proceed from several aspects, according to the actual operation of the distribution network, to take reasonable and effective lightning protection measures to reduce the occurrence of lightning accidents, to avoid economic losses.The introduction of this paper mainly introduces the significance of distribution network lightning protection, domestic and foreign distribution network lightning protection technology status, development trend and the main content and structure of this paper.In the second chapter, according totheintensive investigation and study on the operation situation and existing problems of transmission line in Daqing peripheral oil field,the overall framework of Daqing peripheral oilfield for lightning protection of distribution network is proposed, including the composition of the distribution network, lightning protection of distribution network design principles and the basis, lightning protection framework. of transmission lines, power distribution and small motor. According to the calculation of lightning protection parameters of transmission line, the weak link of lightning protection work in Daqing peripheral oil field is analyzed, and the improved method is pointed out.In the third chapter,through the research and analysis of 6(10)kV transmission line in an oil field of Daqing peripheral oil field,according to the basic situation of the already running line, summarize the problems existing in the operation lines, analysis the causes oflightning damage as focus, propose specific lightning protection reform program,lay the foundation of the next step power distribution line reconstruction project in our factory.In the forth chapter,from the actual situation of 6 (10) kV transmission line of Putaohua oil field in our factory, analysis the basic situation of transmission line and the weak link of lightning protection, selective analysis the installation and selection of overvoltage protector in lightning protection measures. Through the ATP/EMTP electromagnetic transient simulation software to simulate the 6(10)kV line, and explore the economical and effective lightning protection installation density of voltage protection device.In the fifth chapter,focus on the optimization of the protection gap. The maximum value of protection gap is given by the insulation coordination of lightning impulse overvoltage. The minimum value of the protection gap is given by the insulation coordination of the operating over voltage. Implement system simulation of insulation coordinationby using ANSYS finite element analysis software.
