With the development of the industry, the demand for polymer materials is growing.Most raw materials of conventional polymer are derived from oil, but the oil are non-renewable resources.Tung oil is the specialty resources of our country and abundant in source.Conjugated double bond is contained in its molecular structure.Its chemical properties are lively.lt can be used in the field of polymer materials,thus broadening the scope of the use of tung oil and providing the direction to look for renewable raw materials for polymer materials.The purpose of this paper was to prepare environmentally friendly waterborne uv-curable resin and waterborne polyurethane resin with tung oil as basic material, and study the application performance of curing films.The tung oil anhydride of different ratio was synthesized through Diels-Alder addition reaction with tung oil and maleic anhydride as raw materials.The test method of free anhydride acid value was established.The structure of tung oil anhydride was characterized by infrared spectrum and nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectrum. The main factors influencing the reaction were examined, such as reaction temperature,time,catalyst and the ratio of raw materials.The optimum reaction condition was determined.The optimum reaction temperature and time were respectively 140 ? and 3.5 h.A series of tung oil based waterborne uv-curable resin(WTMH) were synthesized by controlling the molar ratio of the tung oil, maleic anhydride,2-hydroxylethyl acrylate and triethylamine.The structure of products were characterized by infrared spectrum. The proportion of raw materiasl was considered to influence emulsion properties,curing activity and application performance of curing films.The results showed that with the increase of ratio of raw materials,the curing rate of resin increased, and the gloss, pencil hardness, adhesion, impact resistance and water resistance of curing film also increased.Hydroxyl-terminated polyurethane (HO—PU—OH) was synthesized,and the test methods of isocyanate value, acid value and hydroxyl value were established. The waterborne polyurethane modified by tung oil(TWPU) was synthesized through tung oil anhydride reacting with HO—PU—OH. The change of conjugated double bonds of TWPU was characterized by infrared spectrum.The performance of film was studied. The dosage of tung oil anhydride was explored to influence the mechanical properties,application performance, thermal performance, after tack of films and particle size of emulusion. The results showed that the polyurethane film modified by tung oil anhydride had more excellent mechanical properties, application properties, heat resistance and resistance to after tack.With the increase of dosage of tung oil anhydride, the tensile strength and heat resistance of the modified film increased, and after tack decreased.When the dosage of tung oil anhydride was 100%of theoretical value,the tensile strength of TWPU curing film was 2.12 Mpa,and increased 0.48 Mpa compared with WPU curing film. The after tack of films was up to level 1.
