Oxyfluoride glass ceramics which has advantages of both the oxide glass and fluoride crystal is a new functional material and a potential glass scintillator material.And rare earth ion doped high density oxide glass which has relatively high density and good thermal stability is also a new scintillation material in the field of high energy physics and nuclear medical science.In this thesis,rare earth ions doped glass ceramics containing Li Lu F4 nanocrystals and high density oxide glasses were prepared.Ceramics species,controlled precipitation of nanocrystals were investigated through X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy.The thermal properties,optimum doping concentration of the rare earth ions and fluorescence lifetime of the glass ceramics and glasses were investigated through fluorescence spectroscopy,X-ray spectroscopy,and other methods.Ce3+ doped transparent oxyfluoride glass ceramics containing Li Lu F4 nanocrystals were prepared.The results show that the optimum doping concentration of Ce3+ in the glass is 0.8mol%.Under UV and X-ray excitation,the emission intensity of Ce3+ was enhanced in the glass ceramics and the Ce3+ exhibits its characteristic blue broadband emission.Tb3+ doped transparent oxyfluoride glass ceramics containing Li Lu F4 nanocrystals were prepared.The results show that the glass ceramics maintain high transparency and the emission intensity of glass ceramics increased significantly after the precipitation of Li Lu F4 compared with the as-made glass.Under X-ray excitation,the glass ceramics emit intense green light and there are potential glass scintillator materials.Ce3+ doped high density oxide glasses were prepared.The results show the optimum doping concentration of Ce3+ in the glass is 1.5mol% and the fluorescence lifetime of the glass is about 40 ns.The glasses are also potential scintillator materials.Tb3+ doped high density oxide glasses were prepared.The results show that the glasses emit intense green light under UV and X-ray excitation and the optimum doping concentration of Tb3+ in the glass is 12mol%.Eu3+ doped high density oxide glasses were prepared.The results show that the optimum doping concentration of Eu3+ in the glass is 7mol%.The fluorescence lifetime of the glasses decrease with the increase of concentration of Eu3+.
