Biocarrier is the core of biofilm process, which affects the development of biofilm process sewage treatment technology. At present, many domestic scholars have developed various biocarriers and tested their biochemical characteristics. However, they did not form a unified testing method and expression means. The usability of testing method and expression means is poor. Therefore, the study established a method for the determination of biocarriers' biochemical characteristics map and its architecture firstly. Then, we tested 11 kinds of biocarrier's biochemical characteristics at 5 levels of concentration stages based on artificial wastewater with multi reactors and drew a curves family of biocarrier's biochemical characteristics. Based on the curves family, we conducted the difference analysis of biocarrier's biochemical characteristics and the multipurpose.discussions of curves family.1)The establishment of biocarriers' biochemical charatcteristics map includes three steps. Firstly, COD, NH3-N and biological phase variation was monitored in effluent to obtain the mean values during biofilm cultivation and stable operation satge with multi-group reactors. The three indexes were also tested repeatedly by changing the influent concentration in turn after sharing the same initial influent concentration. Secondly, the scatter diagram about the concentration change between influent and effluent was drawn with the influent concentration as the abscissa and the average effluent of COD and NH3-N as the ordinate, and a family of fitting curves was gained. Moreover, many other families of fitting curves were obtained by repeating the operation from step one to step two in other different wastewaters. All the families of fitting curves composed biocarriers' biochemical charatcteristics map by collecting those families of fitting curves to the same coordinate system.2)The testing of family curves based on artificial wastewater was completed with 5 different influent concentration stages' operation and testing. Calculating curves' eigenvalues and making an analysis, it was found that different biocarriers' enigenvalues was different and there was an obvious discrepancy during different kinds of biocarriers. It was also found that the biological carriers were divided into three groups, which was stub tube filters, ceramsite and pensile filters, and suspending filters. Comparing those filters' values of the effective volume load, the result was stub tube filters> suspending filters> ceramsite and pensile filters. The effective volume load of stub tube filters A, B and ceramsite was 2.48, 2.46, 1.27 kgCOD/m3filters·d, respectively. Besides, comparing their slope growth rate, the result was ceramsite and pensile filters>suspending filters> stub tube fillers.3)Analyzing the correlation between the biocarriers' unit volume surface area and effective volume loads of different biocarriers, the results revealed that the data points were divided into three groups, presenting a distribution of “?”. Elastic stereo filler, semi-soft filler, polyhedral hollow ball filler, snakeskin-silkyspherical suspended filler A and B and the stub tube filler A and B is a group. Combined filler, soft filler, suspend filler k3 is a group, and ceramsite is a group. The effective volume loads of three groups biocarriers decreases in sequence from the top left to the lower right. The correlation values between unit volume surface area and effective volume loads of the group 1 and 2 is 0.91626, 0.99102 respectively. The reasons of the distribution of “?” were explained through analyzing the correlation between unit volume surface area and biocarriers' biomass and the correlation between unit volume surface area and COD removal rates through a combination of intra group analysis and group analysis.Analyzing the correlation between the biocarriers' unit volume surface area and the slope growth rate, the results showed that the data points also presented a distribution of “?”. The first group was composed of elastic stereo filler, semi-soft filler, polyhedral hollow ball filler, snakeskin-silkyspherical suspended fillers A and B, stub tube filler A and B and suspend filler k3. The second group was composed of combined filler, soft filler. The third group was ceramsite. The correlation value between the biocarriers' unit volume surface area and slope growth rate was-0.85318. The reasons of the distribution of “?” was explained through a combination of intra group analysis and group analysis by the relationship analysis of biomass and slope growth rate and biocarriers' unit volume surface area and biomass.4)Based on the family curves of synthetic wastewater, this paper discussed the application of biocarriers' biochemical characteristics family curves, which showed that biochemical characteristics family curves can evaluate the biocarriers' biochemical characteristics. What's more, family curves can provide a theoretical basis for carriers' selection, development and modification. On the basis of above doscussions, this paper put forward a conception of intelligent family library system.
