With the rapid economic development, the consumption of oil and gas is growing, leading to the limited land oil and gas resources has far not meet the demand, so the supply and demand contradiction of oil and gas is very prominent. China has about one hundred and thirty square.kilometers of the continental shelf, contain rich oil and gas resources. Traditional platform has only single working condition, bottom efficiency and be economic cost. In this background, this paper carry out the concept of jack-up multifunction platform design work. Jack-up multifunction platform is the high complexity of engineering system, involving multiple disciplines in the design, and the traditional design method is a serial theory, to sever the relationship between disciplines, which is difficult to obtain the optimal solution, and the design work shall be carried out repeatedly spiral, time-consuming and expensive.Foreign experts in the field of aerospace firstly put forward the design method of solving this problem-MDO, this method fully considering the synergies between different disciplines. The design of complex engineering has been widely recognition and obtained a certain application. So put the multidisciplinary design optimization method into the jack-up multifunction platform concept design has great significance in engineering application.Paper mainly studies the multidisciplinary design optimization methods in the application of jack-up multifunction platform concept design, specific content is as follows:(1) introduce CSSO, CO and BLISS, combined with the characteristics of ship and offshore platform design problem, choose CO algorithm of multi-functional platform for multidisciplinary design optimization.(2) on the basic of the traditional design process, put forward design process based on the MDO, and combine the characteristics of the jack-up multifunction platform to establish the evaluation index system, lay the foundation for the future of the rig design work.(3) analysis of jack-up multifunction platform for discipline, and establish the corresponding mathematical model, with the Isight software, optimize the initial solution and get the final optimization results, verify the multidisciplinary optimization technique in engineering applicability of jack-up multifunction platform conceptual design.
