Fine wire rod is an important criteria for showing the good quality of wire rod rolling.People place more demands on the dimensional accuracy of rolled pieces, the quality of products and the costs of production. With the development of the technology of reducing size mill, pass optimization and rolling process optimization become extremely important.With the results of computer simulation to guide the process and to optimize it, the waste of resources caused by process design and trial production can reduced, costs for enterprises can be saved, and the competitiveness of enterprises can be enhanced.In this thesis, the existing technology and equipment of wire steel of ?18-?20reducing size mill are used as the research objects. According to the existing phenomenon that the coefficient of rolled pieces deformation is small and the roll rings are fragile during rolling process, together with the final requirement of products sizes, the original rolling process of reducing size mill is optimized. The original oval-round-round-round pattern of reducing size mill 27-28-29-30 frame is optimized as the 27-28 frame with oval-round pattern. The sizing machine frame 29-30 is removed, and the end product is directly produced by the reducer. The Universal of pass is improved and the number of them is reduced. Reduce the pass number of the original diameter reducing unit from 10 to5. The number of roll changing is reduced. In this thesis, the finite element software of MSC.Super Form is used to simulate the deformation process of wire rod tandem rolling.The corresponding deformation of rolled pieces of the existing technology and the optimized technology,the fillness of pass and the force of roll rings are analyzed in thesis.The feasibility of the optimization process is determined by the analysis, and it consequently improved the production efficiency and saved some resources for Baosteel.
