Corrosion problems are in all walks of life, and especially are more serious in the petrochemical plant. In recent years, with the increase of global demand for crude oil, high sulfur and high acid crude oil showed a trend of surge in supplies. As the leading unit of petrochemical enterprises, the typical atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit plays a vital role, and the corrosion of its equipment is directly affected by sulfur content and acid value of crude oil. Thus the rational use of corrosion protection technologies is highly important for mastering the corrosion status of the unit and controlling the corrosion degree of equipment.In this paper, the main research contents are as follows: (1) The easy to corrosion sites of the typical atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit were studied by statistics, with combination of risk-based inspection technology, and therefore high-risk equipment of the atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit of an enterprise was chosen to make pointed references to carry out the on-site corrosion inspection work with different testing methods.(2) According to the risk analysis and on-site inspection, the serious corrosion equipment was chosen to take examples of the research of corrosion analysis and assessment methods. Mainly using principal component analysis method and multivariate linear regression analysis method, the relationship between the content of corrosive medium and the pipeline corrosion rate was studied, the accounting assessment model of pipeline corrosion factors was established, and the prediction analysis model of corrosion degree of the larger proportion of factors was set up; The maximum corrosion pit depth prediction model of the pipeline in accordance with the Gumbel distribution was established, the corrosion pit depth value of the whole pipeline was predicted according to the thickness of the partial area, and then the residual life of the pipeline was predicted; The adaptability evaluation was carried out on the severe corrosion of equipment and pipelines, the corrosion defect model was established, the residual strength was calculated and analyzed in accordance with the criterion of the corrosion defect, and the prediction model of residual life based on risk analysis was established, lately the safety assessment of the equipment and pipelines service life was performed; Using fractal theory, the relationship between the grey value of corrosion image and the corrosion pit depth was studied, a more relevant fractal dimension model was established in keeping with true corrosion situation to identify the potential law of corrosion in the complex phenomenon, and according to the model, the trend of the corrosion development was forecasted.(3) Referring to the corrosion analysis and assessment results, the corrosion monitoring and detection management platform based on GIS of the typical atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit was developed. After long-term use, achieve visual, systematic and quantitative management of corrosion protection work of refining devices was realized, and ultimately the goal of controlling effectively the corrosion degree of the equipment was achieved.
