The corrosion of the atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit is the key factor that related with the safe production in Wuhan petrochemical company, so it is significant to find a way to solve the corrosion of atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit. The corrosion can be divided into two types:high temperature corrosion and low temperature. The mechanism and property of these two types corrosion are obvious different. Generally speaking, it is more cost-effective to upgrade the equipment’s materials for the protection of high temperature corrosion, while it is more practical and reasonable to use the anti-corrosion technologies for the protection of latter type of corrosion. The anti-corrosion technologies should keep pace with the changes in quality of crude oil, and promptly make the appropriate adjustments. The commonly used way is to construct the corrosion monitor system, and timely monitoring of corrosion characteristics, indicators and their changes, which can be used to adjust the medicine and dosage and so on.According to the technology environment and process, this paper analyzes the corrosion types of atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit and constructs the online corrosion monitor system that combine the test index in oil refining department. The practical application results indicate that the corrosion online monitor system can provide technical support to the monitoring corrosion process and improve anti-corrosion technologies, alleviate the corrosion of equipment, ensure the device safe and stable operation, and have significant economic benefits and broad application prospects.
