Chlorinated polyethylene rubber (CM) has excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, oil resistance,heat aging resistance and good compatibility with other polymer materials, owing to its molecular chain with no double bonds and halogen which contains strong polarity.The application of chlorinated-polyethylene rubber in inner liner of tire was studied.a certain amount of chlorinated-polyethylene rubber, which was capable of substituting a part of B?R, and used with B?R and NR, was added into tire inner liner. By blending butylrubber(BIIR) and CM or B?R and CM and natural rubber (NR), the effects of different blending ratio on the various performances of the tire inner liner was explored. In this paper, research situation and results summarized as follows:1?The most suitable experimental type CM was elected, and the influences of blending rubber were studiedby using the different vulcanization systern of CM.The blending rubber should be vulcanized by two kinds of different vulcanization system for making BIIR/CM or BIIR/NR/CM achieved co-vulcanization.There were the most suitable for using the sulphur vulcanization system for B?R and NR,and using peroxide vulcanization system for CM. In addition,the research results showed that, the blending rubber will be scorched with thiadiazole vulcanization system.2?When the proportion of B?R and CM is the 90-10 or the 80-20,the various properties of blending rubber can qualified according to the required basic technical indicators.The gas barrier property of the blending rubber not only satisfied the requirements,but also remained unchanged after aging at 100?,72 h.The cracks of rubber haven't been appeared after flexibling 2 million times..It suggests that the rubber had excellent heat-aging resistance and outstanding flexible fatigue resistance.3?Different blending proportions of the B?R/NR/CM also was investigated in the paper.The air tightness of the rubber has improved and the changes of rubber's overall mechanical properties are not obvious.The air tightness of the rubber has improved and the changes of rubber's overall mechanical properties are not obvious. The properties of blending rubber are still close to its original level after a certain amount of CM added into tire inner liner. Adding CM was conducive to the dispersion of the filler. The blending rubber of B?R/NR/CM still keep the outstanding flexible fatigue resistance,and they have fine compatibility with each other.It results show that BIIR/NR/CM blending rubber were applied to the tire inner liner which is feasible.
