Coal to SNG(Substitute Natural Gas) is an important way of coal cleaning utilization in China. The CPI(China Power Investment Group) construct a Coal-to-SNG Project of 6 billion Cubic Metre SNG per year on development advantages itself, by meaning of the plenty coal resource in Yili Xinjiang. The SNG production can be sent to the Mid and East China through the West East Gas Transmission Line ?. It can boost the structure reform of both the coal industry and the society economical development in Xinjiang province. It will also play an important role in energy safety in China, stable provision of Natural Gas, and the action plan for the control of air pollution in the Mid and East China.The coal-to-SNG project is capital intensive and technique complicated, while it requires a high quality management on resource, environment and management. This thesis focuses on the feasibility study on the Huocheng Coal-to-SNG Project. Firstly, the feasibility of implementation is studied by analyzing the basic conditions of coal, water, environment, and land. Secondly, my research on the technology scheme has been selected to demonstrate which the reasonable scheme is. Finally, the SWOT model is taken to evaluate the competitiveness of the Huocheng project, by analysis on financial rate of revenue and project feasibility.This thesis is aimed at the analysis and study of project Feasibility, providing a support to the construction and operation of Huocheng Coal-to-SNG Project. It is expected that the project can be completed as soon as possible to bring benefit to the local people of all ethnic.
