The pipe heating furnace is one of the most important apparatuses in the refineries and petrochemical plants. It uses the high-temperature fire and gas as the source of heat during the combustion in the boiler furnace to heat the oil in the pipe, so that the oil can reach the polytechnic temperature, to supply the heat for the separation, pyrolysis and reaction of the oil and petroleum products,thus normal production can be ensured.The heating furnace usually works in the high-temperature, high-pressure condition with corrosive medium, so the safety design of the structure is quite important. At present, the domestic design of structure depends on conventional design methods. The common theories and empirical equations are used to define the parameter of structure. The lacking of modern design methods and conservative design methods leads to the low efficiency with high cost. Therefore, optimizing the structure of heating furnace is useful to raise the efficiency and reduce the cost.This article is based on the engineering practice and focused on four questions. The following mechanic analyses have been carried out.(1)The stress analysis is applied on the two reinforcing structure of chimney large opening with finite element method. The result shows that the structure that arrange two angle bar on the two sides of opening and arrange the reinforcing rib around the pipe is better than that arrange only two T-shape steel on two sides of opening in limiting deformation.(2) The heating furnace model has been built by STAAD.Pro and 3-D structure analysis has been done. The structure stress and internal force has been gotten by structure analysis software. Compared with the conventional structure, the optimized structure is based on the requirement of stiffness strength and reliability. It is simple and easy to install and can assure the quality of the engineering. The structure has good equal-strength ability and its resistance is outstanding.(3) The finite element analysis has been made for the conventional pipe telpher and new telpher. Compared to the conventional telpher, the optimizing telpher can meet the criterion of stress, cost less material and has less high-stress area.(4) The denitration system is altered into the heating furnace. By the CFD analog computation on the SCR reactor and gateway gas flow, the detailed information about the gas flow and the concentration of NH3 has been obtained. Hence the most optimized pipe structure has been chosen.
