In the seamless steel tube production, sizing and reducing is one important of processes. For seamless steel tubes for small and medium-sized enterprises, as a result of the temperature of steel after rolling instability and the temperature of sizing must be higher than the 650-700℃, if the temperature is too low, it will inevitably lead to chilled brittle, affect the mechanical properties of steel.These enterprises usually do not conditions to use step by step re-heating furnace and stretch reducing mill, so in production there is an urgent need for a new type of passing-type heating furnace which can be applied to sizing and reducing. In the mill production, the energy consumption of the heating furnace accounts for more than 50% of the total energy consumption, and an effective way to reduce regenerator loss and heat loss is by designing and using structured lining structure, so the optimization to the lining structure of the passing-type heating furnace is a very cost-effective research.The subject of this paper is the passing-type heating furnace developed by the Rolling Engineering Center of the Taiyuan University of Science and Technology. Firstly, based on the relevant knowledge of heat transfer science, this paper simplify and assume the furnace wall, determine the initial conditions and boundary conditions, and establish a mathematical model. Secondly, with the help of the analysis software ANSYS, the paper analyzes the furnace wall temperature gradient, simulates visually the temperature distribution of the furnace wall. Finally, the paper optimizes the single-and multi-layered lining structure according to the results of the simulation.Through the study of the subject, we hope to be able to optimize the furnace binding of the passing-type heating furnace, thus reducing the energy consumption and providing guidance to the furnace design, and promote the production of the steel tube and rod. At the same time we also hope that the results can be used for furnace design and the selection of Refractories.
