In this thesis we used alcohol-heating method and seed mediated growth method etc. Through flexible control the reactant dosage and reaction condition, spherical silver nanoparticles, spherical gold nanoparticles and rod-shaped gold nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized. The related properties of gold and silver nanoparticles were characterized. The results were discussed in the thesis. The research contents are as follows.1. In this thesis we used alcohol-heating method and PVP surfactants, which promoted the generation of spherical silver nanoparticles. The average particle size of 48.6 nm2. Using seed mediated growth methods have many advantages, such as no agglomeration and favorable dispersibility. The average particle size of gold nanorods in length is 50 nm, average diameter is 20 nm. Besides the related properties of the samples were characterized via TEM and SERS.3. Using seed mediated growth method synthesis spherical gold nanoparticles with no agglomeration and the favorable dispersibility, and the average diameter is 17 nm.4. We used silver sol as the substrate of SERS and the surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy(detection limit is 1×10-4 mg/m L) to detect the Rh B samples, which make the experimental conditions optimized.
