In recent year, ionic liquids as a kind of new green medium have been widely concerned in the area such as electrochemistry, organic synthesis and catalysis,separation. Ionic liquids have many peculiarity such as nonflammable, low vapor pressure, low volatility, wide temperature range when it steams down as liquid, high thermostability, good oxidation resistance, and these advantages is identical with ideal lubricant. It is a kind of promising lubricant. The paper around molecular design and synthesis of the high-performance proton type ionic liquids, carried out different ion exchange pair of anion and cation, and its influence to lubricating property of ionic liquids. And researched the lubricating property of the lubricants composited with graphene and proton type ionic liquid. The main results were as follows:(1) The proton type ionic liquids were synthesised by one step alkali neutralization reaction which used diethanol amine, ethanol amine, succinic acid and salicylic acid as raw materials. The preparation process is simple, just simple mechanical stirring until form a uniform liquid. Compared with common ionic liquids, it does not need the complex synthetic steps such as alkylation, separation and purification.(2) Investigated the tribology capability of the proton type ionic liquid as a lubricant on four kinds of metal base include stainless steel, copper, aluminum and titanium alloy.Discussed the influence of anion and cation to the performance of proton ionic liquid as lubricant. It turned out that the lubricaing property of diethanolamine-succinic acid and diethanolamine-salicylic acid ionic liquids were better than ethanolamine-succinic acid and ethanol amine-salicylic acid ionic liquids on four metal base. The primary cause probably is the two hydroxyl of diethanolamine were easy to physical adsorption in the surface of the friction pair, form effective boundary lubrication film. The wear volumes on four metal base with proton ionic liquids lubricated from small to large is:stainless steel, copper, titanium alloy and aluminum.(3) Researched the friction and wear properties of compound lubricants composed graphene with diethanolamine-succinic acid, diethanolamine-salicylic acid ionic liquids. It turned out that adding graphene can obviously improve the wear resistance of lubricants, but cannot obviously reduce the friction coefficient. The self-taught resilience of graphene in the composite lubricant in friction interface is the key to its high abrasion performance. And graphene composited with proton type ionic liquid as a lubricant for some extreme condition such as aerospace shows great application prospect and value.
