Titanium alloy not only has high specific strength, good high and low temperature performance, high fatigue strength, corrosion resistance excellent excellent properties, so its application scope is more and more broad, with a titanium alloy for kinds of raw materials of mechanical equipment and parts are more and more.However, titanium alloy material is a typical difficult to process materials, under ordinary grinding conditions, the grinding wheel is easy to adhere to the plug, the grinding temperature is high, and the workpiece is easy to burn.The aim of this paper is through the TC4 titanium alloy round grinding process experiment, to explore the grinding parameters and grinding temperature, grinding force and after processing the workpiece surface quality influence, so as to optimize the process parameters for grinding of titanium alloys, for the actual production and processing provide guidance.In ultra high speed camshaft composite grinding machine of TC4 titanium alloy high-speed cylindrical grinding process experiment, in order to make the results more representative, this paper chooses the orthogonal experiment with three factors and four levels, the use of cylindrical measuring force apparatus and the infrared thermal imager to measure the grinding force and grinding temperature, surface roughness tester on the workpiece surface roughness measurements were carried out using, on the sub surface microstructure were observed by metallographic microscopy, using microhardness tester is used to measure the surface hardness.The presents, and in dry grinding of the grinding temperature, showed that the rough degree, work hardening of orthogonal experiment in wet grinding conditions of the grinding force of orthogonal experiments, the comprehensive analysis and comparison of the experimental results. It is found that the external cylindrical grinding process of grinding temperature and rotate speed of the workpiece is inversely proportional to, with sand wheel line speed, grinding depth is proportional to, and grinding depth of grinding temperature effect of the most significant, and the grinding force and the grinding wheel line speed is inversely proportional to the workpiece speed and grinding depth is proportional to the surface roughness andmachining hardening and grinding force is similar to that of the rules, and grinding depth on surface roughness and machining hardening effect is obvious. Through the super depth of field microscopy observation found that high speed grinding workpiece surface quality better and the experimental group all jobs did not appear the metamorphic layer.According to the experimental results, the process parameters are optimized and the grinding parameters can be chosen as follows: grinding wheel line speed 90m/s,workpiece rotational speed 90r/min, grinding depth 0.002 mm. Under the condition of the grinding parameters, the material removal rate is larger, the processing efficiency is high, and the grinding temperature can be reduced effectively.
