In this paper, the polybutadiene grafted polystyrene latex(PB- g- PS) were prepared,and the microcosmic structure and properties of modified mortar was studied by changing the formula of cement mortar, and the influence of the latex holdings on the hydration of cement was examined by use of XRD, DSC and FTIR analysis. The pecific steps are as follows:The polybutadiene grafted polystyrene latex(PB- g- PS) were prepared using styrene copolymer modified polybutadiene latex particles the use of intermittent emulsion polymerization technology.The prepared PB-g-PS was proved by FTIR and 1H NMR.The three kinds of quality is 7/3, 5/5 and 3/7 PB- g – PS was used to changing the performance of cement base material. The fixed water cement ratio is 0.5, and in mixed curing condition, The ability of PB- g- PS modified mechanical and physical properties of cement based materials were investigated. Studies show that increase of polymer tocemrnt ratio can increase the rate of water reducing. Keep moisture ability of the product can effectively increase, and efficiently reduce the water absorption rate at 0.02 P/C. this kind of material of water absorption rate is only 0.0156 Kg/m2 at one day. the performance of the 3 samples appear to reduce more or after first with the increase of polymer to cememnt ratio. Its ability to withstand voltage, folding ability was changed by the polymer. The performance have a wave effect with increasing polymer-to cement ratio. Three experimental material is changing the nature of cement mortar. Quality ratio is 5/5 of the particle change mortar properties is better compare with 3/7 and 7/3 quality ratio.The polymer modified mortar microstructure was investigated by SEM. The rear search showed that mortar components in PMMs are closed connected with each other, and the structure is close. Polymer film has already developed in PMMs. The structure was perfected because of incorporation of polymer to cement mortars. The development of Micro cracks was effective holded-up, and the voids and splits were jammed and sealinged. Hence, the properties of the mortar has been perfected.The influence of PB-g-PS latex on cement hydration were studied by FTIR?XRD and DSC. The experiments results manifested that according to the ratio of polymer increases, the changes of the reduce of the cement hydration phenomena appeared increasing first model, cement ratio is 0.01, the cement hydration effect is best..
