At present, there are kinds of reports of graphene material applied to the textile, however, the research of graphene applied in textile functional finishing is still in its infancy stage, it also need to invest a lot of innovative research work, and the traditional methods of textile finishing seem not to be the excellent properties of graphene, to some extent, it limits the wide application of graphene in the field of functional textiles, therefore, new methods and new technologys should be adopted to meet the applications of graphene in textile for further development.This study reported a novel layer-by-layer self-assembly technology, graphene and graphene oxide were respectively assembled with polyvinyl alcohol, chitosan and polythiophene in the surface of fabric,which can impart the fabric excellent properties, such as conductive and resistance to ultraviolet radiation.The main research work is as follows:Firstly, with homemade graphene oxide as a functional finishing agent, polyvinyl alcohol as film forming material, forming a nano functional thin film on the surface of cotton fabric through the hydrogen bonding layer-by-layer self-assembly technique, then achieved the graphene by chemical reduction method at low temperature from the graphene oxide, therefore, there was a uniform graphene films on cotton fabric surface.The graphene modified cotton fabrics showed good uv protection performance(the highest uv protection grade 50+), and excellent conductive performance.Secondly, using graphene oxide and chitosan solution as film forming material, achieved graphene oxide modified cotton fabrics by electrostatic force layer-by-layer self-assembly method, then the graphene oxide was reduced for graphene and its conductive and uv protection property of fabrics was studied.The results show that the graphene layers modified fabric not only has excellent properties of uv protection(the highest uv protection grade 50 +), the conductive performance improvement is more obvious, the modified fabric surface resistivity was eight orders of magnitude lower than untreated cotton fabric.Thirdly, using graphene doped to the poly(3, 4- thiophene ethylene 2 oxygen)- doped polystyrene sulfonic acid slurry, then the suspension after doping and chitosan was used as film forming material on the surface of the cotton fabric for electrostatic force self-assembly, achieving the modified cotton fabrics.Results show that the conductive performance with 1 wt.% graphene doped assembled fabric is more obvious than those of no graphene doped assembled fabric, and the surface resistivity of six assembled fabric can reach 2.29 ?m, eight orders of magnitude lower than untreated cotton fabric,and the uv resistance of modified fabric could reach the highest uv protection grade(50+). The conductive and uv protection performance is still outstanding after 10 times water washing.
