The 4 and 8 panel's coal seam contains parting mudstone, which has been a difficult technical problem in the Sandaogou coal mine for really a long time. The working face gateroad occur parting spalling, bolt anchor, mudstone extrude will be caused under the effect of the overlying strata weight. And it will be a serious threat to the normal production of working face. Thus, study on the mechanism of the roadway deformation damage and instability of coal pillar has important theoretical and practical significance, which is the key to ensure mine safety and efficient production.This article will start from parting mudstone. Used X-diffraction clearly understand the physical composition of parting mudston.The panel mining roadway was determined and the physical of mechanical parameters of surrounding rock coring drilling.Mastered the surrounding rock properties and the stability of roof and floor, according to the deformation of roadway surface with drilling peep.Further studied the structural changes of surrounding rock of roadway.And fixed-point monitoring the changes in the Roadway under the mining influence. Understanding the influence on roadway working face mining. Summarily,the deformation and failure characteristics of gangue containing parting mudstone roadway.Combined with laboratory research methods, the deformation and failure of Sandaogou coal mine pillar outside the fault slip and roadway with similar simulation, numerical and physical simulation experiment (FLAC3D and UDEC) means and theory analysis. Studied the parting mudstone pillar outside the fault slip mechanism, explanined the influence of external fault pillar type slip deformation and failure of roadway.Through field survey and laboratory research, analysis of the deformation and failure of outside the fault slip mechanism and roadway in Sandaogou coal mine, the gangue shale is one of the reasons for the deformation failure of the tunnel, which is one of causes of roadway coal pillar outer fault slip. Revealed the roadway overburden advance "support pressure" is the main cause of pillar outside the fault slip in Sandaogou coal mine. Through theoretical analysis and practical supporting situation, put forward "adapt to the sliding, control the sliding" of fill long, coal column anchor reinforcement, along the parting layer piecewise collaborative supporting scheme.
