During pipeline operation, Pipelines often leads to leaks because of external factors influenced corrosion. Oil spill not only caused huge economic losses, also polluted the environment that is harm to human survival.Currently, Cathodic Protection Technology and Coating Protection Technology are often used to protect the oil pipeline. The protective effect is typically tested by cathodic protection potential data. Therefore, grasp the cathodic protection data and analysis the data reasonably to give accurate information of protection status is very important to reduce the harm caused by pipeline leaks.This paper focuses on collecting pipeline cathodic protection data and storing in the database. According to cathodic protection evaluation criteria we process data and judge the effect of pipeline cathodic protection. In terms of corrosion protection layer, this paper reviews the corrosion layer detection technology at home and abroad. Compare the advantages and disadvantages of various types of corrosion layer detection technology and proposed Comprehensive Test Technology. By taking the method of relative resistivity to evaluate the quality of coating, compared each section resistivity with the whole pipeline average resistivity to determine which section is seriously damaged or aginged. The article take in combination with "coating broken coefficient " to evaluate pipeline coating. On the basis of the Visual C++ and Access, we develop a system which make use of cathodic protection data to evaluate the operation of the oil pipeline.
