Mass customization is one of the new production modes in 21 st century,which combines the advantages of customer customization and mass production.This production mode meets the diversity of customer needs,but also to adapt to modern enterprise agility(low cost,high efficiency)of the high requirements,and modularity technology is one of the key factors for the success of mass customization product mode.According to statistics about 70% of the product design is a product modification or transformation,using modularity method can utilize the design resources efficiently,reduce the assembly and manufacturing cost of product family,but also can simplify,shorten the design process and promote the product update and so on.Firstly,this article summarizes the modularity technology definition,characteristics,and as a production advantage of advanced manufacturing technology,and detailed introduction and analysis the complex product module combining the existing research in domestic and abroad status of module division and the necessary for mass customization of module partition theory and application,a detailed explanation of the current domestic and foreign scholars of modular technology and module division of research.The second one,in the analysis of the previous research on the basis of module partition,module partition scheme evaluation and module design were in-depth analysis and research,and combined with the concept of Modular BOM(MBOM)and correlation matrix,is proposed based on MBOM module partition method.Finally,taking the Sealing module as an example,the modules are divided.The results show that the module partition based on MBOM has the advantages of small amount of calculation and strong implementation.Finally under the support of theory,based on Inventor secondary development technology and research and Inventor 3D parametric model library,connect the communication between the Inventor and Visual Basic Studio,sealing tape module rapid assembly system and its successful application in the products design was developed,module of rapid assembly provides the basis,effectively enhance the sealing tape module design,reduce the sealing tape module development costs,further illustrate the practicality and feasibility of MBOM module division method.
