As the core component of new energy vehicles,the safety of the power battery directly determines the safety and reliability of the vehicle.The research of the module glue system is based on this consideration to improve the safety of the battery.Power battery module potting is a new process for soft pack battery packs,which can greatly improve the thermal conductivity,group strength,cushioning and shock absorption performance and insulation protection performance of the battery module.At the same time,it can greatly improve the stability and reliability of the power battery PACK and the whole vehicle.This article systematically introduces the research and realization of the module’s precision glue filling,and designs the overall composition and structural layout of the module’s glue filling process system line.The solution adopts modular,automated,information-based and flexible design to realize the functions of module precision filling,module curing,module stripping,module testing and offline.At the same time,the module automatic glue filling machine was researched and designed.From the design of the mechanical structure to the design of the control system,to the final actual field verification,the feasibility of the program was proved.The feeding part adopts the double safety mechanism of piston pump + gear pump to ensure the accuracy of the glue filling process.The AB glue mixing system adopts a static mixing method,and the AB glue is fully mixed in a preset ratio through the mixing tube.The control system is designed as a "dual control" mode of PLC(programmable logic controller)+ DSP(digital signal processor).As the core of logic and state control,PLC is combined with DSP’s high arithmetic precision and high-speed data processing capabilities to form the control platform of the entire automatic glue filling machine system.Because of its powerful computing power and real-time data collection capabilities,DSP is designed as the main controller for temperature collection,which transmits the collected data to the PLC,and then allows the PLC to drive the operation of the glue filling machine.In order to prevent the non-pouring area of the module from being contaminated by glue,the non-pouring area needs to be protected by the module,so the module protection and curing process is designed.The method adopted is to apply adhesive tape to the non-pouring area around the module through an automatic adhesive application machine.The quality of glue will directly affect the quality of module glue filling.In order to ensure the accuracy of sticking,the path interpolation operation is carried out when glue is placed around the bottom of the module.After the glue is finished,the key sticking part is photographed and the quality of the glue is judged by machine vision.This paper introduces the research and design of the module tooling board and how to realize the accurate positioning of the tooling board.A complete set of module testing line was designed,and the main testing items completed were: module height measurement,OCV test,withstand voltage insulation test,module weighing and other functions.The modular glue filling system researched and designed uses PLC as the control core,servo drive system,multiple sensor systems,automatic glue filling system,etc.as the support during the design process.It meets the high-precision and flexible production requirements of automated production equipment.
