Nano materials have broad applications for the superior characteristics in optics, electrics, magnetics, calorics and sensors compared with general materials. The property of nano materials has a close relationship with the morphology and structure. By choosing different preparation methods or controlling the preparation process, we can control the size, morphology and micro structure nano materials so as to obtain nano materials with special properties. ZnO is an important semiconductor material with wide band gap, the binding energy of which is 60 meV at room temperature. So, ZnO can achieve excellent performance in UV light, and has an important application prospect in shortwave luminescence. However, the preparation of ZnO with high quality has been a serious problem, which influence the progress of optoelectronic devices based on ZnO greatly. In this paper, zinc-aluminum layered double hydroxide(Zn-Al LDH) nanostructure was grown on an AAO template via a simple water bath method, and then the ZnO nanorods were prepared on the Zn-Al LDH to obtain ZnO/Zn-Al LDH composite structure. The main contents and conclusions are as follows:First, high purity aluminum sheet was oxidized via the anodic oxidation method in the oxalic acid solution in order to fabricate anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) template with controlled morphology. The study found that the oxidation time, voltage and reaming time have a great influence on the morphology of AAO template. When the secondary oxide time was 2 hours, the oxidation voltage was 40V, the reaming time was lhour, the AAO template showed good consistency and order We choose the AAO template under this processing in order to provide a good substrate in the next step.Second, Zn-Al LDH nanostructures with good continuity was manufactured in the mix solution of zinc acetate and HMTA through a simple low-temperature water bath method. At the same time, four main factors which influence the morphology of the zinc-aluminum LDH nanostructures were analysised.Third, hexagonal columnar ZnO nanorods was manufactured in the zinc acetate and HMTA mixture solution via the water bath method onto the zinc-aluminum LDH. In addition, the factors which influenced the structure and morphology of ZnO nanorods were studied,.Finally, the luminescence properties and wettability of the prepared ZnO/Zn-Al LDH composites were tested and analyzed. The PL spectra of the composites had a sharp emission peak near 380nm,some samples' PL spectra had a peak in the vicinity of 420nm and a wide range light band near 550nm.The prepared composites exhibited hydrophilic, the contact angle was about 20° which was measured at the moment that the droplet contacted the sample, and the drop spreaded to 5° below completely within 2 seconds.
