As an important and non-renewable strategy resource,reasonable development and utilization of phosphate had become an urgent task for its sustainable supply.Although our country is rich in phosphate ore resources,the easy dressing ore is on rapid decrease under the constant exploitation,and the majority of the rest belongs to the mid-low grade collophanite.To overcome the bad selectivity,poor water-solubility and dispersity of the conventional fatty acid carbonate flotation collector,amino group was introduced as a modifier in our work which also reduced the cost of flotation.At the same time,owing to the amphipathy of amino acid,the prepared amphoteric collector was also amphipathic,which resulted in that the collectors could be applied in both direct and reverse flotation for the integration of collector.And good flotation results were got when the amphoteric collector was used for the flotation of specific phosphate minerals in our work.The processes are in the followings:(1)Synthesis of collectors: New collector was synthesized through a simple way by chlorination and amino substitution of fatty acid.Then,adding a certain proportion of compound additives at different temperatures to optimize the reverse flotation collector.Results showed that the prepared collectors had better selectivity and collectivity for actual minerals.(2)Flotation experiments for actual minerals:(1)Systematic flotation test of Yunnan phosphate ore: the best flotation reagent system was determined by single factor flotation experiment.The “first rougher and twice scavenger” simple closed-circuit flotation process was established at room temperature,and a good flotation result was obtained that the concentrate grade of P2O5 was 28.63%,the recovery of P2O5 was 93.12% and the content of MgO was 0.87%.(2)Flotation test of Jinchang jiafeng phosphate ore: the concentrate grade of P2O5 was 27.85% and the recovery of P2O5 was 20.32% which fully illustrate the good selectivity of the new collector by promoting concentrate grade of P2O5.(3)Systematic flotation test of Hubei longmang phosphate ore: the best flotationreagent system was determined by single factor flotation experiment.The “first rougher and scavenger” simple closed-circuit flotation process concentrate was established,the grade of P2O5 was 31.94%,the recovery of P2O5 was 95.00% and the content of MgO was 0.66%.(3)Gas chromatography detection: the synthetic ingredients were measured by gas chromatography.The foundation for further determination was laid by different fatty acid raw material which affected the flotation collector performance.
