With the growing demand for oil, exploitingthe oil effectively has become more and more important. Currently the vast majority of oil has entered the stage of high water cut, so oil recovery efficiency is low, and residual oil distribution is complex.The thesis is based on the northwest edge of Junggar Basin Baikouquan Oilfield Urho Formation reservoir, analyzing the reservoir geological characteristics according to logging data, well test data, production performance data, aiming at the low recovery and highly water cut, using the technology of reservoir engineering and reservoir simulation methods to predict the distribution of residual oil, then we put forward on the basis of a variety of explorationplan, understanding and main conclusions were as follows:1. Most of the small layer in Urho group has week correspondence between injection well and production well, and only a few reserves put to use.2. The current reserves Wuerhe degree of control of 30.96 percent, up and down has big differences. P2w1 and P2w2 localized injection and production well correspond effect, P2w3 due to the low permeability, strong heterogeneity, injection and production correspond less effective.3. Urho reservoir in the present situation needs to improve or increase the injection-production ratio of injected water utilization.4. It is the best period of exploration when the water cut between 20% to 60% in Wuerhe. Computer simulation proves thelevel of later stage water injection and the maintain of reservoir pressure are low. Reasonable formation pressure is 16.5MPa, pumping well flowing bottom hole pressure can be reduced to a minimum 4.75MPa.5. Wuerhe residual oil distribution is scattered, mainly distribute in imperfect zone between wells B22 wells fault.6. The main factors affecting the residual oil distribution are reservoir heterogeneity, the difference of oil viscosity, the week correspondence between injection well and production well and imperfect of well pattern.7. According to the reservoir remaining oil distribution,Urho formulated eight explorationplans, through contrast and international oil situation prediction parameters of the plan, the best solution is preferably five, that has developed some production wells fill hole and in combination with other strata of development wells extending fill holes in the study area mining segment, which not only make daily oil production rose steadily, but also the general water rate and pressure under control.
