Research On Shawl Patterns Of Miao Nationality In Songtao Area Of Guizhou Province And Application Of Design

Miao nationality is a nationality with unique “migration history”.In the process of continuous migration over thousands of years,Miao people have created brilliant culture with own wisdom,in which the most shining is the apparel culture of Miao nationality.Miao apparel in Songtao area is the most important component in Miao apparel culture,which is with unique aesthetic characteristics.As the unique apparel accessory,Miao shawl in Songtao area is with strong regional characteristics of Miao nationality in Songtao area and it is the business card of presenting local culture of Miao nationality to outside.However,with the development of modern industrialized society,machine has replaced handicraft to produce fashionable apparels quickly;at the same time,there are less literature for the shawls of Miao nationality in Songtao area,it lacks theoretical basis,causes the loss of connotation implications and produces appearance and low-cost phenomenon of national characteristic commodities taking shawl as element.This paper takes the shawl pattern of Miao nationality in Songtao area as breakthrough point and studies shawl of Miao nationality in Songtao area through field research,physical collection etc.The first chapter elaborates the background,significance,current situation and key points of practice for the research subject,which presents the important significance of studying the shawl of Miao nationality in Song tao area;the second chapter combines the geographical environment and historical background of Songtao area to analyze the development and evolution of Shawl of Miao nationality in Songtao area;the third chapter analyzes its artistic characteristics from the characteristics,compositions,colors and technologies of pattern,which provides theoretical basis for design practice;the fourth chapter explains the social culture of Miao nationality in Songtao area through studying the connotations of shawl pattern;the practice part in the fifth chapter takes tourism product as foothold,insists on the concept of combining shawl pattern of Miao nationality in Songtao area with popular fashion to accomplish design practice part,which provides development ideas for the traditional and modern integration in Songtao area.This paper hopes to provide reference for the inheritance and development of Miao nationality culture in this area through theoretical and practical research.
