Conventional beam pumping unit, as the most common mechanical oil production equipment in domestic and overseas oilfields, has great torque fluctuation on the motor output shaft in view of its suspension load characteristics and its own structure. In this paper, according to the C-320D-256-100 conventional beam pumping unit which is currently in use, it is proved that the pumping unit has the advantages of low cost, low energy consumption and low cost. Increase the adaptive balance weight mechanism, so that the balance block with optimal balance function, make its structure more reasonable.In this paper, the basic theory of the conventional pumping beam pumping unit is sorted out, and the dynamic analysis of the four-bar linkage mechanism of the pumping unit is carried out by using the instantaneous center of velocity method, and the corresponding formulas are established according to the dynamic analysis of the suspension load and the equilibrium load.
