Radioactive nuclides will be released into the surrounding atmosphere or into the enrichment of coal ash and cinder with coal combustion.Coal cinder and ash can be used to the cement mixed materials,lightweight aggregate concreat and road base materials,ect.,and then to be the regional atmospheric environment potential radioactive pollution.Atmospheric environment pollution is serious in Shijiazhuang,there are a lot of coal-fired power plants,which consumed many coal and brought a mass of pollution,but emission from coal-fired power plants is not clear,the radioactive influence of surrounding atmospheric radiation level is unknown.This research about radioactive nuclides of coal-fired power plants provide data and theoretical support for regional radiation monitoring and protection.In this paper,the ICP-MS determination method of radioactive nuclide uranium and thorium was established,then seven coal-fired power plants in Shijiazhuang as the research object,the radiation dose rate of coal?coal cinder?coal ash and surrounding atmosphere of seven coal-fired power plants were analysis by using portable gamma spectrometer,and radioactive nuclide uranium and thorium of seven coal-fired power plant coal,coal cinder,coal ash and the surrounding atmospheric aerosols were analysis by using ICP-MS method.The enrichment characteristic of radionuclides in the process of coal combustion and the environmental radioactive influence of the seven coal-fired power plants and ash as structural material on surrounding atmospheric were studied.The main conclusions were as follows:1)Radioactive level in Shijiazhuang of coal-fired power plant's coal,coal ash and cinder belong to the middle level.The enrichment degree of uranium and thorium in coal-fired power plant was not the same,generally the enrichment degree in coal ash was higher more than in cinder.2)The gamma radiation dose rate of coal?cinder and ash in Shijiazhuang coal-fired power plants were the same level,and the same level with gamma radiation dose rate of the national environmental natural radioactive level between 1983 to 1990,slightly lowed than the transient gamma radiation air absorbed dose rate and cumulative gamma radiation absorbed dose rate of "atmospheric environment in Shijiazhuang City 2007-2010 China radiation environmental quality report".It showed that no obvious radioactivity contribution of coal-fired power plant to the surrounding environment.3)The monitoring results of uranium and thorium nuclides in atmospheric aerosols during heating and non heating periods were no obvious differences;the uranium and thorium were far lower than that in the coal?cinder and ash of coal-fired power plant and lower than the total alpha and beta in aerosol of 28 national environmental radiation control point.The data comparison results showed that the coal-fired power plant in Shijiazhuang had no obvious radionuclide effect on the surrounding atmosphere.
