A Study On The Influence Of Social And Economic Factors On Haze In Cities Of China

With the development of social economy,the haze in China is becoming more and more serious.We must take measures to solve the pollution of haze.In order to deal with haze problem effectively,this article study the main social and economic factors which cause Chinese urban haze from the perspective of social and economic,and the direction and extent of these social and economic factors on the haze,provide reasonable suggestions for the management of China’s urban haze accordingly.This is of great significance to the construction of ecological civilization and the people’s health for our country.In this paper,on the basis of literature research,theoretical research and analysis of characteristics of Chinese urban haze,build a model for empirical analysis.Based on extension of STIRPAT model,we select the data of 2013 in 46 cities of China and the data of 2014 in 94 cities of China,with the annual average concentrations of PM2.5 as the index of urban haze,study the relationship between population density,the per capita GDP,the electricity consumption of per capita GDP,the civil car ownership,the highway passenger quantity on the proportion of the total passenger quantity,per capita disposable income of urban households,the greening coverage of built-up area with urban haze.And then we use the panel data to have a quantile regression to study the effect of social and economic factors on urban haze in different levels of pollution.From the results,we found that population density,the per capita GDP,the electricity consumption of per capita GDP,the civil car ownership and the highway passenger quantity on the proportion of the total passenger quantity,have a positive effect on haze,while per capita disposable income of urban households,the greening coverage of built-up area have a negative effect.There is kuznets curve relationship between urban haze and the per capita GDP.When the pollution of haze in the city be a medium level,the civil car ownership,the highway passenger quantity on the proportion of the total passenger quantity and per capita disposable income of urban households have a smaller effect on haze.Refer to measures to solve haze of foreign countries,we provide reasonable suggestions from the aspects of urban population,economy,technology,transportation and greening construction.
