Polypropylene has excellent properties and is used in a very broad field.Transparency of ordinary PP is not high,gloss is bad,which influences the application of PP in some areas such as packaging,food,medical care.This topic took polypropylene as the main research object and researched polypropylene material having high transparency and a certain toughness.0.1%,0.2%,0.3%,0.4%mass fraction of the a-nucleating agent of NA-21 type were added to polypropylene powders which had antioxidant and stabilizer using single-screw extruder blending method,and coextrusion prepared different proportions of transparent PP pellets and prepared samples.The basic properties of PP samples were tested,including polarizing microscopy,DSC,tensile strength,impact strength,the light transmittance tests.It shows that the amount of a-nucleating agents affected PP sample of the performance.The result shows when added the a-nucleating agent the amount of 0.3%,the spherulite size of sample is minimum,degree of crystallinity,light transmittance and tensile strength is the maximum.Since the degree of crystallinity of the sample increases after adding nucleating agent,the impact strength of the sample reduces.The impact strength of sample adding 0.3%mass fraction of a-nucleating agent decreases 17.5%to the sample without adding nucleating agent.This paper studied the effects of ?-nucleating agent for PP toughening.0.1%,0.15%,0.2%,0.25%mass fraction of the P-nucleating agent of TMB-5 type were added to polypropylene powders which had antioxidant and stabilizer,and coextrusion prepared different proportions of toughening PP pellets and prepared samples.Through the test,the results show that the light transmittance decreases in PP sample while adding P-nucleating agent;when added the ?-nucleating agent the amount of 0.1%,the tensile strength of the sample is the worst and impact strength is the best,but when added the ?-nucleating agent higher than the amount of 0.1%,the tensile strength of the PP sample increases,the impact strength decreases.PLA and DSC reveal a crystal and ? crystal present in the PP sample which added ?-nucleating agent at the same time,so the impact strength of PP sample adding ?-nucleating agent the amount of 0.1%compared with the impact strength of PP sample not adding nucleating agent has improved greatly.With the increase of adding the amount of ?-nucleating agent,? crystal size decreases,? crystal crystallinity and total crystallinity gradually increases,which is the reason the tensile strength of PP sample gradually increases and impact strength of PP sample gradually decreases while adding the nucleating agent greater than the amount of 0.1%.This paper studied the effects of a-nucleating agent and ?-nucleating agent collaborative modification for PP transparence and toughening,0.3%mass fraction of the a-nucleating agent of NA-21 type were added to polypropylene powders which had antioxidant and stabilizer,at the same time 0.1%,0.15%,0.2%,0.25%mass fraction of?-nucleating agent of TMB-5 type were added to polypropylene powders,and coextrusion prepared different proportions of PP pellets and prepared samples.Through the test,the results show when 0.3%mass fraction of the a-nucleating agent and 0.15%mass fraction of the ?-nucleating agent are added to polypropylene powders,the overall performance which is the light transmittance,tensile strength,impact strength of PP sample is the best.
