With the development of economy,people's pursuit of the clothing quality is being gradually improved,The warm,comfortable and bright color clothing are been given more and more love.However,Some fabrics have low wet rubbing fastness,washed easily fade,such as knitted and denim fabric,all of these made people's life to become more inconvenience.The research shows that the rubbing fastness and fade degree of the fabric can be improved by modifying waterborne polyurethane(WPU).WPU has a good effect on the fixing of reactive dyes.Therefore,the research of WPU-types fixing agent have broad application prospects and huge economic benefits.In this paper,a series of cationic waterborne polyurethane was synthesized by acetone method,which isophorone diisocyanate(IPDI)and polytetrahydrofuran glycol(PTMG-1000)were used as the basic raw material,N-methyl diethanolamine(N-MDEA),trimethylolpropane(TMP),and glacial acetic acid were used as hydrophilic chain extender,crosslinking agent,and neutralizing agent,respectively.The main contents of this paper are :the influencing of R value,the amount of TMP,the amount of N-MDEA,and degree of neutralization on cationic waterborne polyurethane(CWPU)properties of emulsion and film had been discussed.A better synthesis process and fixing process had been obtained by the mean of denim fabric for color treatment and contrast with untreated fabric.Finally,the following conclusions are drawn from the experiment :(1)Under the condition of the value of R 1.1,the content of TMP 0.9%,the content of MDEA 8%,and the neutralization degree 100%,the synthesized CWPU emulsion appearance and stability,resistance to water and mechanical properties are found better.Under these conditions,the viscosity of the CWPU's emulsion,the drying rate constant and the content of solid of the emulsion are 116 m Pa·s,0.90 h-1,29.73%,respectively.The water absorption,the adhesivestrength,the tensile strength,the elongation at break are 7.8%,0.59 MPa,1.98 MPa,510%,respectively.(2)The better fixing finishing process of the fabric by CWPU are: under the condition of the finishing liquid concentration is 50 g / L,fabric moisture content can be controled between 85 ~ 100%,and baking temperature is about 100 ?.The fabric with the above comprehensive performance of CWPU is better than unprocessed fabric,The rate of dry and wet rubbing fastness can improve to 2 levers.(3)A series of CWPU was modified by hydroxypropyl silicone oil(PDMS-OH),the result is: when the content of PDMS-OH is4.5%,the emulsion stability of products and the film's water resistance are better,water absorption is 5.6%,and mechanical properties are moderate.When it is used to deal with the fabric,the dry rubbing fastness of the fabric can be improved 2 levers and wet rubbing fastness can be improved 3 levers,the fabric feel softness have also been significantly improved.
