In order to solve the poor effect of reactive dye wet rubbing fastness, polyether ternaryalcohol was introduced into polyurethane prepolymer, and then organic-silicon modifiedpolyurethane wet rubbing-fastness improver was synthesized by bulk polymerization andself-emulsification method. The factors which influence the properties of the improverincluding prepolymerization conditions, degree of quatermization, the anion content, thedosage of crosslinking monomers and the ratio of organo-silicon were investigated. Bymeans of Laser particle size test, FT-IR and SEM, the synthetic products were analized. Thenthe application property was measured, either. Finally, the best impregnation process of theimprover came to a conclusion through orthogonal experiment.The result showed that the yellowing of fabrics which were treated by the improver maybe influenced by the degree of quatermization. Cationic-type agents evidently enhance theadsorption capacity of anionic group in dyes. What’s more, the introduction of theorganic-silicon coupling agent could improve the crosslink degree of the agent and thenimprove the nature of emulsion film-forming and mechanical strength of film. Appropriatedosage of crosslink agent and organic-silicon correspond respectively play decisive role offilm’s mechanical capacity and emulsion stability.The conclusions obtained from the subject are as follows: The Fourier transforminginfrared spectrum (FT-IR) indicated that the wet rubbing-fastness improver was successfulsynthesized. Emulsion’s average particle size was31.0nm, which can be seen from the laserparticle size analysis. The influences of pH of the finishing liquid, dosage of the improverand curing temperature on the rubbing fastness were discussed through orthogonalexperiments, and the optimum process was obtained. Under the optimal condition,the wetrubbing fastness of treated fabrics was improved by1-1.5degree. At the same time, it hadlittle influence on color or other properties. Finally, the optimum process is as follows: pH5.5,improver dosage35g/L, impregnation temperature40℃,100℃drying, curing temperature145℃×5min.
